Volvo is going to commence its extravagance sedan “S90“ in India on November 4. It is based on Volvo’s SPA platform and will contend for the BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Audi A6.
The structural design is an oblique front-drive and multilink stern deferment outline with the front grille design and those daunting character lines. The S90 comes with a recently designed front grille that comes with wide air dam, chrome accents, and slight horizontal LED fog lamps. On the other side, the rear section gets the C-shaped tail lamp bunch that looks outstanding with its sell-sculpted boot lid.
The Volvo S90 comes with a longer wheelbase than its precursor S80 sedan creating for enhanced cabin space. S90 comes with LED headlights as well as ‘Thor’s Hammer’ daytime-running LEDs.
As far as Safety is concerned, It consists front, side and curtain airbags, emergency brake assist, ABS, ISOFIX, park-assist, lane-keep assist and much more for the safety sake. Apart from this it also supports some features like 4-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats and large touchscreen infotainment interface and Bowers & Wilkins 19-speaker sound system.
Initially, the Volvo S90 will be offered only with the D4 diesel engine that makes 190bhp and develops 400Nm of torque with two trim variants. The company will also introduce the D5 engine variant outfitted with All-Wheel Drive later. The S90 is likely to appear with a cost tag ranging between Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60.
