In the Ukraine Plane crash, at least 22 died, most of them were air cadets. The Antonov-26 came down to the eastern city of Kharkiv as it was landing.
The plane was carrying 27 people, cadets from Kharkiv Air Force University. Two people were seriously injured, reported BBC. Three people are still missing and search operation is undergoing.
The exact reason for the crash is still unknown.
According to the emergency ministry officials, the plane came down almost 2 KM (1.2 miles) from a military airport.
No report suggests that the conflict of Eastern Ukraine could have caused the accident. However, the Chuhuiv is about only 100 KM (60 miles) from the front lines where Ukraine is fighting the Pro-Russian separatists.
The fire after the Ukraine Plane crash has been extinguished. There is no official confirmation on the reason, but all angles are being investigated.
Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko told AFP news agency,
“It’s a shock, At the moment it’s impossible to establish the cause.”
An eyewitness told Reuters that “Another car stopped behind us. We took a fire extinguisher and ran with another driver to help him,” after they spotted a man emerging from the wrecks in flame.
