Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna passed away today at the age of 70. The veteran actor was suffering from cancer and was admitted to hospital. He was admitted to the hospital due to dehydration in Gurdaspur, Punjab.
The 70 years old actor was part of close to 141 movies in Bollywood and delivered many superhit movies. He was even a popular face during his last days and acted in the movies like Wanted and others. Vinod Khanna was once compared to be the Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and was king of the Romantic Genre in Bollywood. He was born on October 6, 1946.
A few days back, a photo surfaced in the social media that showed him in very pale condition. The family later released statements that he is recovering well and is out of danger. However, the actor could never recover from Cancer and died in his home town, Gurdaspur in Punjab. He was also a Member of Parliament from the same place from the Bharatiya Janata Party before. Since last few days, he was out of the sight for his ailing health.
Bollywood has paid their tributes to the legendary actor for his contribution to the Indian Cinema and movies. He will be remembered for his movies like The Burning Train and others. He has left a void in the Film Industry. It is expected that he would be cremated according to rituals in his home town. The last rites could be performed today, says reports.
His memorable movies are Dayaban, Amar Akbar Anthony, Zameen, Herapheri and others. At the later stage he has acted in many character roles like in Dabbang, Wanted, Dabbang 2, Players and others.
His last released movie was Dilwale. He has won many awards and nominations for his movies from 1968 to 2015.
