PCB or the Pakistan Cricket Board is desperate to host international matches in Pakistan. The Cricket Board has finally decided to host the Pakistan Super League Final match in Lahore despite many of the foreign cricketers have already refused to travel to Pakistan for security reasons. However, in order to revive the international cricket in Pakistan, PCB has now invited Bangladesh to play full series of Tests, ODIs, and T20s.
The latest reports have emerged that the Pakistan Board has expressed its desire to host the matches that were scheduled to be played in Bangladesh. Pakistan has travelled to Bangladesh for three series since 2009 but Bangladesh has not visited Pakistan. A delegation team is expected to visit Lahore to personally witness the security measure soon after the PSL final confirmed reports. Pakistan has also invited the independent delegations from seven other Cricket Boards to investigate the security conditions in the country. Pakistan is hoping for international matches after the terrorists attacked the Sri Lanka cricket team in 2009. Since then no team has travelled to Pakistan except Zimbabwe for a short series.
However, that has not really convinced the other teams. West Indies team was all ready to go ahead with a series in Pakistan but Terrorist attack in Lahore has foiled all the plans for PCB. The Pakistan Cricket Board has suffered tremendous loses due to lack of home ground. The team plays the home matches in UAE for a sharing of revenue model and that is not at all profitable for the board.
