According to the Pakistani Media, the JIT sources claimed that during the visit to the Air Base, there was no convincing proof that could have established the hands of Jaish-e-Mohammad or any other Pakistani Nationals. The Joint Investigation Team from Pakistan visited the Pathankot Attack Air Base as the NIA provided all the information regarding the attack. NIA claimed that Pakistani Terrorists have stormed the Air Base killing many people. However, the JIT team is reportedly not convinced with the proof. Interestingly, the claims of NIA are completely opposite to that of the JIT. NIA said that all the information and probe results have been shared with the JIT Team. The statements, Ballistic Reports, Forensic Reports, call records, name, and addresses of the suspects. The NIA officials released a statement that the JIT Team was quite convinced and they appeared to be in the mood of agreement that the terrorists were from their own country. NIA said that they have named Jaishe-E-Mohammad Chief, Maulana Masood Azhar and his brother Abdul Rauf in the reports as well.

Impact of the JIT Team

The official statement yet to be released but the outcome is set to be clear. At a time when China voted against the ban of Maulana Masood Azhar, claiming he is not a terrorist, it looks pretty clear that the JIT Team would deny or remain unconvinced. This is not something new between India and Pakistan. However, it may impact the growing relation between the two countries yet again. This was the first time a JIT from Pakistan came and it may become the last again.
