Kashmir issue was raised by Pakistan at UN General Assembly again by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. However, like every time there was not taker.
According to Media reports, Pakistan PM wrote letters to countries like Russia, China, USA, Britain to intervene in Kashmir issue. Kashmir was believed to be one of the major issues that would be raised by Pakistan at UN General Assembly at New York. Pakistan PM did not waste anytime and met with John Kerry and Theresa May as well. According to Pakistan Radio, PM aggressively pitched Kashmir but in response UK and US did not really act accordingly. They did not utter a single word in media briefing.
This came after Pakistan backed JeM terrorists attacked Army Camp in Uri, Kashmir resulting in martyrdom of 18 soldiers. India has already voiced the continuous support of Pakistan for cross border terrorism. The atrocities in Balochistan was also raised by India at UN General Assembly. Pakistan was also asked to vacate the Occupied Kashmir by India.
However, the agenda of Pakistan at UN General Assembly looked snubbed by the major countries. The same was reflected when Indian Journalists were forced to move out from the Pakistan media briefing.
It is yet to be seen what would be the next step for Pakistan as India move to isolate Pakistan diplomatically for supporting terrorism. Even China has voiced concerns over the Uri Attack and has already indicated the increasing security cost for CPEC.
