New 10 Rupees Note is all set to make an entry in India confirmed PTI. The RBI has issued a notice that all the past notes that were released by the institution would remain a valid tender. However, the new 10 Rupees Note would have more security features in it.
As per the reports, it has been learnt that the new Note would have inset letter “L” in it. Urjit Patel Signature would be present at the place of RBI Governor signature place confirmed reports. However, the printing year of 2017 should be visible at the back side of the note. The new 10 Rupees note should also have alphanumeric series where the numbers would be in descending size from the left. However, the PTI reported that the alpha codes would be of same size.
It is still not clear whether the size of the note would be altered. The new currency notes of 500 and 2000 were changed and RBI may follow the same with the new notes that are to come. It is understood that existing notes of Rs 10 would be slowly held back from the banks and from the market in a phased manner. However, there is no plan of demonization .
It is also not clear that whether other notes like 100,20 and 50 would see new notes. But it is believed that RBI is taking every step cautiously to avoid any political uproar after the demonization on November 8.
