P Nishit, the director of the famous Narayana Institutions died in a car accident in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad. He is the son of P Narayana who is the Municipal Administration Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The Police said that P Nishit and his friend Ravi Raja were going back to home at around 3 AM. The roads were submerged in the rain water that lashed the city out of gear. The electricity in the most of the areas was snapped in Hyderabad. He tried to evade a sharp turn but eventually hit his Mercedes-Benz in the under construction Metro Pillar. Both received severe injuries and locals rushed them to nearby Apollo Hospital. However, they were declared brought dead.
The Police have not confirmed whether they were under influence of the alcohol. Hyderabad has witnessed unprecedented rain and thunderstorm and hailstorm since Tuesday Night and that has left the city paralyzed. Many of the electric poles, trees were uprooted. The traffic was entirely jammed till late night in Hyderabad due to the rain.
P Narayana, father of P Nishit was in London and he is on his way back to Hyderabad to attend the last rights of his son in the hometown Nellore. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandra Babu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have expressed their shock to the accident and offered condolences to the family.
The situation in Hyderabad is under control now. Most of the areas have got restored electricity and the traffic police are in the work to clear the traffic and mess from the road.
