Malaysian Ship Vier Harmoni has been hijacked in the waters. In a new development as per the Reuters, the ship carrying 9000 liters of diesel has been hijacked by unknown people.
The Vier Harmoni has been located in the waters of Indonesia. However, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has confirmed that the ship has been located in Batam, Indonesia. However, the agency has not named anyone for the hijack.
The MMEA said that the Vier Harmoni was carrying 9000 liters of diesel from the Tanjung Pelepas port of Malaysia. It has been learnt that the estimated value of the diesel in the ship is around $392,795 and 1.57 million Ringgit. It is not immediately clear that how many people are on board on this ship. The number of crew in the diesel ship hijacked is still awaited from MEAA.
The investigation agency has already started searching for the ship and necessary operations are being carried out. It is still unclear that whether Malaysia has contacted Indonesia for any assistance. So, far no foul play has been reported and the case is linked to hijacking. But nothing can be ruled out at this stage.
