Kulgam Encounter has already claimed lives of two soldiers who were bravely fighting against the terrorists in the Kulgam district of Kashmir. The Army got a tip-off from the police last night and the entire area was cordoned off to nab the terrorists hiding in the area.
Kulgam is around 60 KM from Srinagar and has extreme weather condition as well. The early reports suggest that there were 7 terrorists in the area and three of them have managed to escape from the command. As per the latest reports from the Kulgam Encounter, the terrorists are believed to be hiding in the nearby area. The army is searching for the three militants if the reports are to be believed.
The PTI has reported that the Kulgam Encounter is still going on and the firing can still be heard from the area. However, no official report has been published so far about the encounter. The army also recently conducted an encounter in the Baramulla District on February 4. The exchange of fire also critically injured two policemen in the Baramulla region.
The heavy snowfall and extreme bad weather have relaxed the tensed situation in Kashmir that was prevailing since July 8, 2016. However, due to the rough weather and poor conditions, terrorist from other side of the border often cross the fence. The surveillance of the army and the BSF remain on high alert even during the extreme winter of Kashmir.
Indian Army and BSF have failed many infiltrations attempts f the Pakistani Grown terrorists in recent times as well.
