Rajnath Singh has appealed for the Kashmiris in India. The Union Home Minister said that all the states must ensure the safety of the Kashmiri Youths residing and studying various parts of the country. The comment came after few incidents came to the light where the Kashmiri youths were targeted as stone pelters due to the incidents in Kashmir.
He said that Kashmiri youths have an immense contribution towards nation building and should be considered as own brethren. He also asked the Chief Ministers to be very tough on those who are responsible for these attacks. He sought legal actions against all those who have targeted the students of Kashmir. The Union Home Minister looked visibly upset over the recent incidents that have been reported.
Incidents from Rajasthan have sparked wide debate when some of the students were allegedly abused and attacked. The incidents have become prominent after the video surfaced online where the local Kashmiris were found abusing and attacking a lone CRPF Jawan. Few of the reports have come from different states as well. Considering the sensitivity of the issue, the Union Home Minister has appealed to the State Governments to be more vigilant on these issues and asked for the safety of the students.
Kashmir is boiling since the Militant leader Burhani Wani was killed in a fight in the month of June last year. Since then the protesters have blocked any attempt of peace and continued to hurl stone at the security forces. The rise of the terrorists attack in Kashmir has also sparked tensions in the area. In the Kashmir Unrest close to 100 civilians were killed and close to 200 security forces have lost their life.
