J&K Government has decided that Kashmir Curfew to be lifted after record 52 days from today. However, the Section 144 restriction would still be imposed in the valley. Any lawful gathering of 10 or more numbers of people is prohibited. However, the curfew should be still present in Pulwama District and some parts of the Srinagar where the condition is still not under control.
J&K CM recently met Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and presented 3 Point Agenda for the peace and normalcy. Dialogues have been considered the best way forward with all the stakeholders of the Kashmir including the separatists. The opposition has also said the same thing. Prime Minister also called out for Compassion and Unity to bring back the peace of the valley.
The Kashmir Curfew started on July 8 after the militant commander Burhan Wani was killed. The protestors became violent and so far around 70 people have died. More than 11000 people have injured including many security personnel and locals.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that the talks can only be held when people want to do it. However, she said that there are fractions of leaders who are instigating youth and kids for violent protest in Kashmir.
It has to be seen whether the protesters come back to the street for the violent protest again after lifting up the curfew or not.
