IPL Matches in Maharashtra has created major controversies in recent times. The Bombay High Court further raps the Cricket Body and asked the board whether IPL Matches are more important than People. Bombay High Court has virtually directed to shift the matches to other states considering the significance of the issue. The High Court was listening to PIL on IPL Matches in Maharashtra. However, the Cricket Association has requested that the tickets are already sold and it can cause huge loss. There would be 20 matches in Maharashtra in IPL 9. Two teams Mumbai Indians and Pune Supergiants are playing in the tournament. Apart from Mumbai and Pune, Nagpur will also host the IPL Matches. Bombay High Court has asked for the responses from various bodies on the same. Even though it cannot be said that IPL Matches in Maharashtra will be shifted but a concern has been sensed by the court.

IPL 9 Matches

The IPL 9 starts on April 9 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Also, the final will be played on the same stadium on May 29. It will be interesting to see how BCCI and other cricket boards take up the situation. However, IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla has already ruled out the possibilities of shifting IPL Matches in Maharashtra.
