The Indiana horror case has to come to a judicial end. A man killed his girlfriend and ate her body parts was convicted of his crime. The Southern Indiana man, Joseph Oberhansley, was convicted of killing his girlfriend and eating her body parts as well. He is jailed for life without any parole.
The authorities found the body of the 46-year-old girlfriend was found at her home on September 11, 2014. The body was badly mutilated. The investigators found more than 25 sharp force injuries and multiple blunt force injuries.
The investigators reached Joseph Oberhansley, in the murder of Tammy Jo Blanton. Joseph was convicted of murder and burglary.
Initially, Oberhansley, told that there were two unidentified men at Ms. Blanton’s home when he arrived at around 4 AM. He said that they knocked him off. He woke up when the police knocked on the door, looking for the victim, 9 News Reported.
The skull of the victim was found on a dinner plate and a skillet and pair of tongs found covered in blood nearby reported The Sun. The Police also confirmed she was raped before being killed.
During the investigation, the prosecutors said that the crime scene was worse than a horror movie and the media reported the incident as Indiana Horror. A butcher knife, steak knife, and frying pan were also discovered at the scene of the crime.
Oberhansley later confessed to his crime of murder and cannibalism which was played in the court.
He was also ordered to serve 6 years in prison simultaneously for burglary charges. The case received huge media attention in Indiana and prosecutors demanded the death penalty. However, the prosecutors dropped the demand for the death penalty last year.
