Tim Cook reiterated the faith in Indian Market and said India can be next China for Apple. The current financial year of the Apple has reflected the huge growth of the iPhone in the Indian market. Tim Cook said that the surge in the sell of iPhones in India in 2016 has been 50% better than other financial years. This gives the new hope for the Apple CEO to focus more on Indian market which is still untapped for Apple.
Apple CEO said that India sell for Apple has given the hope to the company and it could be easily the next China. India can be next China in terms of a sell for iPhone considering the high purchase capita and the interest of people in Apple products. Even though the high cost iPhones are not really a very good prospect for the Indian market but phones like iPhone 5s that is available around INR 20,000 has a huge demand in the Indian market. Apple has also partnered with Reliance Jio that is rolling out the 4G services in the vast area of the country. This is also a positive step for Apple that wants to capitalize the Indian market.
Tim Cook said that India can be Next China; that simply translated the strategy of Apple to shift to more prosperous Indian market than the saturated Chinese market. Apple now holds around 3% of market share in India. However, the experts believe that the smartphone market of India is still in nascent stage and it is expected to grow at a phenomenal rate in future. This gives Apple the scope to redo the strategy for the Indian market and give others a run for the money.
