India beats Bangladesh in the One off Test Match at Hyderabad. India scored massive 687 runs in the first innings and scored quick fire 159 runs in the second. The visitors put a brave total of 388 in the first innings. Virat Kohli top scored the first innings for India for yet another double century and scored 204 runs. However, the skipper of the visitor Mushfiqur Rahim also hit a ton to keep his team alive in the match.
However, the chase of 459 runs in the second innings was way too much for Bangladesh as they fell short. However, the Bangladesh team has put up a quality effort against quality Indian team and has earned huge applaud from the home crowd. There was a time when it felt that the Bangladesh team would hold on the nerve and draw the contest. However, the spin duo of India, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin ensured that the home team crosses the line as India beats Bangladesh.
This was the first ever Test match between India and Bangladesh on the Indian soil and Virat Kohli will be pleased to finish that on the winning side. However, the performance of the team would definitely draw the attention of the board and in future Bangladesh may play more frequently against India in India.
