Gurgaon Shocker of Rape has once again brought the horrific memory of Nirbhaya incident whose convicts got Capital Punishment from the Supreme Court. According to the reports, a woman aged 22 was abducted from Gurgaon Sector 17 near her house in a Maruti Suzuki Swift car. The accused then took turns to rape her and then thrown her out of the car in a secluded road early in the Sunday Morning in Najafgarh area of Delhi.
The woman who hails from Sikkim then cried for help and with the help of the locals, she registered a complaint to Delhi Police. Delhi Police then contacted the Gurgaon Police and a case was registered as per the statement of the woman. She is working in a call centre and was coming back to her home from Connaught Place. She was abducted and the accused gang raped her.
According to the police, one of the accused was addressed by the name Deepak by the other two. CCTV camera footages are being investigated and raids are being conducted at several places now to nab the culprits. This is another incident after a woman was abducted from Sonepat and was gang raped and killed by a jilted lover along with his friends. Her skull was fractured by the assault.
Delhi and NCT area has seen a sharp rise in the crime against woman despite many protests. India still lacks harsher punishment and strict laws against it. If it is not now, then maybe it is never.
