Switzerland vs Albania was a cracker of a match in the Euro 2016. The Group A Match was all set for a cracker and Switzerland toppled the Albania team for 1-0 after the Full Time. The match was played at the iconic ground Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Switzerland, however, failed to improvise the game and increase the difference of goals. The entire match was dominated by the Swiss team. Albania fans were shocked when their Lorik Cana was sent off in the 37th minute after the second yellow card. He became the first Red Card Victim of Euro 2016.

Fabian Schär scored the only goal of the match when he headed the corner ball from Xherdan Shaqiri in the fifth minute of the match. The debutant Albania remained impressive throughout the match but they showed skills and improvisation to hold the Swiss for the single goal. Albania would have scored the equalizer when Shkelzen Gashi broke through the Swiss defense. It was goalkeeper Yann Sommer who came to rescue and did a wonderful stop.

Albania looked confused for the first half. However, Switzerland kept on missing the chances and scoring opportunities. The final score could have been anywhere between 2 to 3 goals unless Swiss have not missed some opportunities.

It was a good start for the European Championship for the Switzerland team. Albania can also take heart from the Group A match.
