House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under tremendous pressure after her video goes viral on Fox News. The video shows that Pelosi getting a hair cutting cape gown, her hair was wet and she had no face mask inside eSalon on Union Street in San Francisco on Monday.
On Thursday, the White House began the press briefing by playing the video showing her video. White House accused her of violating public health orders due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kayleigh McEnany, White House Press Secretary said that Nancy Pelosi was not in the halls of Congress because she was in San Francisco. She further accused her of not working in good faith to make a deal for the American. Questioning Pelosi, McEnany, said that she wants the small businesses to be shut down, but only be reopened for her service.
The Press Secretary accused her deliberately holding up the coronavirus relief fund by not reaching an agreement with Republicans and the White House since last month. However, she was seen getting a special status in the eSaloon.
White House demanded an apology from Pelosi and asked her to come back to Washington to get the work done for the Americans.
The saloons in California were open for outdoors from Tuesday. However, Pelosi was seen inside without following any Public Health orders.
Here is the Press Briefing.
As soon as the video was viral, Nancy claimed that she was set up by the saloon owner. In a Press Conference on Wednesday, Pelosi said,
“I take responsibility for trusting the word of a neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years many times, and that when they said that we’re able to accommodate people, one person, at a time and that we could set up that time, I trusted that. As it turns out, it was a setup. So I take responsibility for falling for the setup”.
Donald Trump took to twitter and attacked Pelosi in his own way.
The man who styled her hair has confirmed the story. Mayor London Breed has come in support of Pelosi. He in fact accused the Federal Administration of letting 180,000 Americans die of coronavirus.
The second coronavirus relief package is hold up as Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi have refused to agree with Republicans and the White House. The relief package is sought from industries across the country to survive during the pandemic.
Pelosi has not apologized yet for violating norms. It will be interesting to see her response after the press briefing of the White House.
