DDvKXIP at the Feroz Shah Kotla was witnessed by huge Delhi Crowd. The home team gave them the suitable gift as well. However, it was more than a win for the IPL team. The Delhi Daredevils finally finding the consistency and the form they were looking for even after missing the key players.
The brilliant innings from Sam Billings at the top order and then later inning firework from Corey Anderson and Chris Morris were enough to take them to 188. This second successive 180+ score for Delhi. However, while bowling to Kings XI Punjab, they never allowed the batsmen to settle. Chris Morris again was brilliant with the bowl. Apart from Zaheer Khan, no body went for more than 8 per over. This was absolutely brilliant bowling from Delhi against a team that has plenty of power hitters.
Apart from Axar Patel, no one really looked threatening for Kings XI. Eoin Morgan, Hashim Amla, David Miller and Glenn Maxwell, all the four failed to make an impression. However, Punjab will have further chances to make things better in the upcoming matches. They started off the tournament beautifully but seemed to be lost midway.
Delhi Daredevils will play Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Monday, April 17 while Kings XI Punjab will play Hyderabad on the same day in Hyderabad. Delhi has reached the third spot in the tight IPL Table after two successive wins whereas the KXIP has slipped to the 5th position with an equal point but more losses.
