A coronavirus major outbreak created panic among authorities. The Northumbria University has confirmed that as of Friday, October 2, there are 770 students tested positive for COVID19. The university also confirmed that almost 78 of them symptomatic.
All of the students are in self-isolation.
In line with the government guidance, all the close contacts and flatmates are in self-isolation for 14 days. All of them have also been advised to take a test as soon as possible.
This is a huge cluster and that could further worsen the situation believe the experts.
Newcastle are might see a further rise in the pandemic.
The COVID19 situation in England is already worsening. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already implemented strict measures. He has even threatened to tighten the lockdown if the people do not follow measures.
