Bridget Sipera, 36, a high school teacher, has been arrested for sexually assaulting her underage student. The Camden Catholic High School Teacher reportedly admitted to the sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student from New Jersey.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Cherry Hill resident, Sipera started the relationship in January 2019. The victim was one of her students back then. As per the victim, the relationship lasted for 18 months. The relationship included at least 60 sexual encounters. The encounters happened at multiple locations.
The victim contacted the Cherry Police on August 6. As per the victim, they had sexual encounters at various locations in Cherry Hill. It includes a hotel parking lot, park, and even in multiple towns. As per the police statement, the locations include Sipera’s home, her mother’s home, and the victim’s home as well. The police asserted that the specific layout of the house was provided by the victim as reported by The Blaze.
The high school has immediately terminated Bridge Sipera. The school also ensured to cooperate with local law enforcement.
Sipera was a popular name in the school. She was voted as the coolest teacher in 2013 as well. Known for her excellence, she taught literature at the school. She was also the Lacrosse Coach for the girls. In fact, Sipera was named Coach of the Year by the Women’s Lacrosse Club of South Jersey.
The Police confirmed that Sipera has been charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault. One count of endangering the welfare of a child is imposed as well. More charges could be imposed on her.
She is now placed at Camden County Correctional Facility. She is waiting for her preliminary charges.
