Brahumdagh Bugti to seek asylum in India and he has confirmed to The News Minute. As per the media reports, the President of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) is ready to seek asylum in India formally. However, he informed that no Indian official is in contact with him and he is considering all the legal instruments to facilitate the same.
Brahumdagh Bugti to seek asylum in India and that news came after a meeting has been announced with all the BRP leaders in Geneva. The leaders will meet to discuss the asylum status and international legal options to sue the Pakistan Army for committing genocide in Balochistan. The CPEC and China are also on the list of agendas for the BRP leaders.
Brahumdagh Bugti fled his hometown Dera Bugti in Balochistan after his grandfather Nawab Akbar Bugti was assassinated by the Pakistan Army. Bugti clan is the biggest and one of the most prominent in Balochistan and is fighting for the independence of Balochistan from Pakistan. The Balochistan province is enriched with resources and the local people blame that Pakistan Army does not really provide anything to them.
The Baloch leaders say that Pakistan has unlawfully captured their land and they have fought five fights so far for independence. During the Independence Day Speech, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the people of Balochistan and before that raised the concern of the atrocities in that region by Pakistani Army. The Baloch leaders have found immense confidence after PM Modi mentioned the Balochistan in one of the most important speeches of the country.
