BCCI Clarifies on VVS Laxman and said that the former cricketer has no role to play in the conflict of interest. In a statement, BCCI said that VVS Laxman had an association with Tenvic Sports, an Anil Kumble company. However, in the month of March, he has sold all his shares and he does not hold any official or unofficial position in the company. BCCI clarified that at the time of CAC meeting VVS Laxman did not have any association with Tenvic Sports and henceforth no conflict of interest was present.

BCCI clarifies on Laxman and said that the star cricketer informed the board about his past association before getting selected as CAC committee. He also showed that he has sold all his shares and does not have any association with the company. On the same basis, he was selected.
The huge controversy of conflict of interest started when DNA published a report that VVS Laxman is the second highest shareholder in Tenvic Sports, a sports marketing company, co-founded by Anil Kumble.
On the other hand, Anil Kumble has also clarified that he already had a discussion with BCCI and has said that all the necessary actions will be taken to avoid any kind of conflict of interest and violation of BCCI guidelines. It is yet to be confirmed whether Anil Kumble will sell his shares on Tenvic Sports or not.
