Australia sexual offense is becoming a sign of worry unless there are drastic reforms. In a case, a woman, Melissa Nosti, 33, will spend just a week in jail after sexually abusing a 15-year-old student where she worked.

She has been sent to 18 months in jail for the crime. Her lawyer made a bail plea for the ex-flight attendant and said she has a low risk for repeating based on the doctor’s assessment.

The court then releases her on bail after the appeal. The only condition is that she uses only one mobile phone and gives the password to the police when asked, as per Breitbart .

She however not allowed to visit the victim or anyone below sixteen years of age.

There have been a series of occurrences where the judiciary was easy on the sexual predators in Australia. The punishment is not so harsh and many believe that it is actually encouraging for the sexual predators.

The world has full of sexual predators and Australia is not any exception. It is hard to stop such a crime when it is happening. However, stronger rules and harsher punishments are the need of the hour for deterrence.

It is maybe time that the lawmakers in Australia reflect on the Australia sexual offense history and take some drastic decisions.
